Tony Potocnik (26 Jul 1909 – 7 Apr 2005)

Tony Potocnik, 95, Town of Holway, died Thursday, April 7 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Marshfield.  Private, family services were Saturday, April 9 at St. Mary’s Cemetery in the Town of Holway.

Tony Potocnik was born July 26, 1909 in Ralph, S.D., to the late Joseph and Anna (Kaprivnator) Potocnik.

 His first marriage was to Berniece Weimer and it ended in divorce.  He married Judy Calaway and she preceded him in death.

He was a welder for Western Condensing, later known as Foremost, in Owen until 1973.  He resided on a Town of Holway farm for most of his life.

Survivors include two sons, Delmar of Milwaukee, and Burton (Linda) Jay of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, William of Owen, and Edward (Bernice) of Withee; and a grandchild.

In addition to his second wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Rodney; three brothers, Joe Jr., Frank, and Carl; and two sisters, Anna and Alice.
