Robert George Rueden (25 Jan 1924 - 27 Dec 2003)
Robert George Rueden, 79, Abbotsford, died Saturday, Dec. 27 at Continental Manor Nursing Home in Abbotsford. Memorial Services will be Saturday Jan. 3 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby, with Revs. John Malik and David Gall officiating. Visitation begins at 11:30 a.m. at the church.
Robert Rueden was born January 25, 1924, in Milwaukee to the late George and Vera (Anderson) Rueden. He attended Bruckerville Grade School in the Dorchester area and Dorchester High School. He also went to NYA School in Antigo for welding. For a short time, he worked as a welder at the Manitowoc shipyards.
He moved to the Town of Holton, Marathon County, where he farmed until 1982. He then built a house in the Town of Holton and worked for Colby Metals.
