Jeanette H. Allen (21 Jun 1928- 5 Feb 2001)
Jeanette Helen Allen, 72, died at her home in Janesville on Monday, Feb. 5,
2001, after a battle with cancer.
Funeral services were held Friday at Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford. Pastor
William Lange, Prentice, presided. Burial was in Abbotsford Public Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bill Lachey, Patrick Lachey, Christopher Lachey, Larry Broeske,
Shane Broeske and Vince Washebeck.
Jeanette Stock was born June 21, 1928, in Chicago, Ill., to Nicholas and Helen
(Gripentrog) Stock. She married Joseph Lange, Medford, on Aug. 10, 1946. The
couple owned and operated Lange’s Heating, Sheetmetal, Plumbing and Electric in
Owen until 1963. The family moved to the Abbotsford area where Mrs. Lange worked
with her mother at Helen’s Bar before owning and operating The Corral.
Mrs. Lange later moved to Janesville where she operated the Blarney Stone
Restaurant.
She married Roy Allen on Dec. 28, 1981, in Medford. The couple enjoyed their
retirement.
Survivors include four daughters: Donna (Mike) Ching, Sterling, VA; Barbara
(Don) Kleven, Janesille; Marilyn (Larry) Broeske, Abbotsford; and Debbie (Bill)
Lackey, Janesville; five sons: Bill (Deb) Lange, Prentice; Joe (Michelle) Lange,
Colby; Jim (Doris) Lange, Milton; Bob (Joanne) Lange, Waukesha; and Mike (Becky)
Lange, Orfordville; 33 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Nick
(Naomi) Stock, Los Angeles, CA; and two sisters, Margaret (Lynn) Nelson,
Medford, and twin sister June (Leonard) Loerstcher, Janesville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Lange on Feb. 11, 1999; two
daughters, Patricia and Judy, and her husband Roy Allen.
