Ethan Erl (28 Nov 1995 - 12 Feb 2005)
A nine-year-old Town of Browning boy is dead following a farm accident Saturday
afternoon (Feb. 12, 2005).
Ethan Erl, son of Donald and Julene Erl, was pronounced dead by Taylor County
Medical Examiner Scott Perrin following a call of a child being buried in a feed
bin.
According to Taylor County Sheriff Dan Kay, emergencies services personnel from
the Sheriff's Department, Medford area Fire Department, Taylor County EMS and
the Spirit helicopter responded to a report of a child buried in a feed bin on a
farm.
According to Kay, officers were told the boy jumped into a large feed bin
because protein feed mix became stuck within the bin. The boy died when
additional feed mix came down into the bin and covered him, causing suffocation.
Emergency personnel tried to revive the boy without success.
Note:
Ethan's maternal grandparents were Clarence and Charlene (Lapp) Stoiber of town
of Mayville.
