Herbert Riegert (13 Nov 1914 - 25 Dec 2003)

Herbert John Riegert, 89, Town of Deer Creek, died Thursday, Dec. 25 at his home under hospice care. Funeral services were Monday, Dec. 29 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonville, with Rev. Frederick Brost officiating. Burial was in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark and Michael Riegert, Pam Motte, Don and Jason Cypher, and Steve Hasenhorl.

Herbert Riegert was born November 13, 1914, in the Town of Deer Creek to the late Ren and Josephine (Vogt) Riegert. He was a 1933 graduate of Dorchester High School. He worked for Hurd Millwork in Medford, was a dairy farmer, and a mink rancher. His farm was recognized as a Century Family Farm in 1998.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Survivors include a brother, Edward (Norma) of Stetsonville; and two sisters, Rose of Stetsonville, and Matilda Mueller of Dorchester.
