Alma Zoellick (4 Mar 1907 – 30 Mar 2001)
Alma Marie Zoellick, 94, Dorchester, died Friday, March 30, 2001 at the Colonial
Center, Colby.
Funeral services were held Monday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Dorchester. The
Rev. Jerome Freimuth presided. Inurnment will be at a later date. Pallbearers
were Tracy Mott, John Lambert, Rich Zoellick, Larry Zoellick, Ray Zoellick and
Mark Zoellick.
Visitation was Monday at St. Peter Church until time of service.
Mrs. Zoellick was born March 4, 1907, in Hanover, Kan., the daughter of the late
August and Bertha (Munstermann) Kruse. She worked at Concordia College in
Chicago, Ill.
She and Ralph Zoellick were married Aug. 14, 1932 in Hanover, Kan. They farmed
in the Elgin, Ill., area until 1962. They retired and lived in Corning, Ark.,
for over 15 years.
Mrs. Zoellick later lived with her son Vernon in Paxton, Ill., and most recently
lived with her son Ronald in Dorchester. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran
Church.
Survivors include two sons, Vernon (Janice) Zoellick, Urbana, Ill., and Ronald
(Thelma) Zoellick, Dorchester; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three
step grandsons; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers,
Ernst Kruse and Albert Kruse.
