Dorothy Neidhold (30 May 1909 - 30 Jun 2001)

Dorothy Neidhold, 92, formerly of Abbotsford, died June 30, 2001 at the Rutledge Home, Chippewa Falls.

Funeral services were held July 3 at the First Presbyterian Church, Abbotsford. Burial was in the Abbotsford Public Cemetery. The Rev. John Billings presided. Pallbearers were her grandchildren, Nancy Ross, David Ross, Jay Neidhold, Tim Warnock, Ryan Neidhold, and Raquel Neidhold. Visitation was at the church.

Mrs. Neidhold was born May 30, 1909, in Iowa to Chris and Anna Christensen. She graduated from Withee High School, Marathon County Normal School and UW - Stevens Point. She married Jon Neidhold Aug. 30, 1930, in Waukegan, Ill. He died Sept. 2, 1995. Mrs. Neidhold was an elementary school teacher, teaching in five different rural schools in the Dorchester and Abbotsford area. She then taught in the Abbotsford School District for 20 years before she retired.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Holton Homemakers.

Mrs. Neidhold is survived by her children Jon (Marlene) Neidhold, Wisconsin Rapids, Eileen Warnock, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Robert Neidhold, Chippewa Falls, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
