Witucki, Walter N. (15 JUN 1934 - 10 JAN 2008)
Walter N. Witucki, 73, Athens, died Thursday January 10, 2008 at his home, under
the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
He was born June 15, 1934, in Marathon County, son of the late Andrew and Julia
(Nowicki) Witucki. On June 20, 1956, he married Shirley Stark in Edgar. She
survives.
Walter and Shirley owned and operated a dairy farm in the town of Rietbrock and
Walter had also been employed as head sawyer for the Nowicki Saw Mill, Rietbrock.
Among his favorite pastimes were, snowmobiling, four wheeling, playing ping pong
and cards, especially sheepshead.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley, five children, Linda (Victor) Rogers,
Wausau, Sharon (Glenn) Myszka, Athens, Connie (Dr. William) Knutson, Wausau,
Randy (Stacey) Witucki, Athens, Brian (Christine) Witucki, Rothschild, a
son-in-law, Brian Heldt, Athens, 15 grandchildren, Luke, Aaron, Lindsey, Kyle,
Zach, Katy, Evan, Valene, Robyn, Jessica, Holly, Robert, Justin, Branson and
Colin, three siblings, Delores Heier, Athens, Kenneth (Denise) Witucki, Spring
Valley, Rev. Roy Witucki, Genoa City.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Heldt.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. Sunday January 13, 2008 at Holy
Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. Rev. Roy Witucki and Rev. Charles Hiebl
will preside. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call on
Saturday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again
on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be
a short Prayer Service Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the Athens funeral home.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
