A new water tower for Medford, which four years ago was high on the City’s
priority list, may not be needed now as badly as first thought.
Carl Michels of Rust Environmental & Infrastructure (formerly Donohue, the
City’s consulting engineers), told the Common Council’s committee-of-the whole
last week that since 1990 when a comprehensive water study was done, the City
has added a new well and the groundwater level has been rising.
He said they are also looking at another well, which could delay the tower for a
few more years.
