St. Norbert College
Danielle Anding of Granton and Elynor Gregorich of Greenwood were named to the
2018 fall semester dean’s list at St. Norbert College. A minimum 3.5 grade point
average is required for academic eligibility. The only Norbertine college in the
world, St. Norbert is a four-year, Catholic liberal arts institution nestled
beside the Fox River in De Pere, neighboring Green Bay. Founded in 1898, the
college became coeducational in 1952. Today the residential campus serves
approximately 2,200 undergraduate and graduate students, hailing from throughout
the United States and nearly 20 countries.
UW-Superior
Brianne Brueggen of Greenwood has been named to the University of
Wisconsin-Superior Dean’s List for academic achievement during the Fall 2018
semester. To be named to the Dean’s List, students must have completed 12
degree-seeking semester credits and achieved at least a 3.50 grade point average
(on a 4.0 scale). The University of Wisconsin-Superior is a nationally
recognized public liberal arts institution of more than 2,500 students in the
Superior-Duluth, Minn., metropolitan area. UW-Superior has more than 50 program
offerings, select online and graduate programs, competitive Division III
athletics programs, continuing education, research and scholarship programs that
support the community and region.
UW-Whitewater
Dane Toburen from Greenwood has made the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater
Dean’s List for the 2018 fall semester. These students have demonstrated their
academic abilities by receiving a grade point average of 3.4 or above in a
single semester. The Registrar’s Office reports 3,460 students were selected for
the Dean’s List for the fall semester. About 13,000 students are currently
enrolled at the university’s Whitewater and Rock County campuses.
UW-Stevens Point
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point honored more than 2,275 undergraduate
students for attaining high grade point averages during the fall semester of the
2018-2019 academic year. Full-time undergraduate students who earned HIGHEST
HONORS had grade points of 3.90 to 4.0 (4.0 equals straight A); HIGH HONORS had
grade point averages from 3.75 to 3.89; and HONORS had grade point averages from
3.50 to 3.74 Students who received honors include: Brian Karl of Chili, senior,
Highest Honors; Barbara Miller of Granton, sophomore, Highest Honors; Kelly
Nielsen of Greenwood, sophomore, Highest Honors; Veronica Nikolai of Loyal,
senior, Highest Honors; Morgan Reinwand of Loyal, sophomore, Highest Honors;
Amanda Zettler of Loyal, junior, Highest Honors; Courtney Buss of Spencer,
junior, Highest Honors; Dyllan Griepentrog of Spencer, sophomore, Honors;
Jessica Meinders of Spencer, junior,
Honors; Logan Schafer of Spencer, senior, Highest Honors; Elijah Schuh of
Spencer, junior, High Honors; and Megan Schuette of Unity, junior, Highest
Honors.
Minnesota-Duluth
The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) has announced its Dean’s List for Fall
Semester 2018. Students on the Dean’s List have achieved a grade point average
of 3.5 or higher. Included on the list is Leah Higgins of Spencer, a freshman
majoring in biochemistry.
Harding University
Collin Nieman, a freshman finance major from Spencer, is among more than 1,200
Harding University students included on the dean’s list for grades achieved
during the fall 2018 semester. The dean’s list is published each semester by Dr.
Marty Spears, University provost, honoring those who have achieved high
scholarship. To be eligible, a student must be carrying 12 or more hours with a
3.65 or higher grade-point average and no incompletes. Harding University is a
private Christian, liberal arts university located in Searcy, Ark. Accredited by
the Higher Learning Commission, it is the largest private university in the
state.
Western Technical College
Cheyenne Dietsche of Spencer and Cassandra Elmer of Greenwood were named to the
Western Technical College President’s List of High Distinction for the Fall 2018
term. To be included on the President’s List, students must achieve a grade
point average of 3.5 or higher and carry 12 or more credits in an associate’s
degree or technical diploma program UW-River Falls
University of Wisconsin-River Falls
The University of Wisconsin-River Falls fall semester Dean’s List honoring 1,603
students has been released by Registrar Kelly Browning. To be named to the
Dean’s List, a full-time undergraduate must earn a grade point average of at
least 3.5 on a scale of 4.0, or midway between an “A” and “B” average. Area
students on the list are Kristyn Nigon of Greenwood, a dairy science major;
Jenna Schober of Spencer, a psychology major; Andrew Seefeldt of Spencer, an
animal science major; and Samuel Revier of Willard, a criminology major.
Chippewa Valley Technical College
Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) announces that the following students
have been named to the President’s List for the Fall 2018 semester. To be
eligible, students must complete a minimum of six credits with a semester grade
point average of 3.5 or higher. Greenwood: Shawn L. Collinson, Michelle L.
Miller, Jessica E. Much, Brittany A. Neisius, Dylan J. Nielsen, Sarah L. Shaw
and Cole W. Susa. Loyal: Carly J. Dix. With 95 programs and both online and
on-campus
classes, Chippewa Valley Technical College delivers superior, progressive
technical education which improves the lives of students, meets the workforce
needs of the region, and strengthens the community. CVTC programs are designed
with input of business and industry to prepare graduates for today’s jobs, with
94 percent employed within six months of graduation.
UW-Stevens Point/Marshfield
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at Marshfield honored nearly 50
undergraduate students for attaining high grade point averages during the fall
semester of the 2018-2019 academic year. Undergraduate students who earned
HIGHEST HONORS had a grade point of 4.0 (4.0 equals straight A); HIGH HONORS had
grade point averages from 3.75 to 3.99; HONORS had grade point averages from
3.50 to 3.7499 Local students who received honors include: Paul Miller of
Granton, sophomore, High Honors; Adam Mueller of Greenwood, freshman, Honors;
Blain Schmidt of Loyal, sophomore, High Honors; Leigh Sieracki of
Spencer, Sophomore, Honors; Aaron Zenner of Spencer, sophomore, Honors; and
Gunner Jensen of Unity, sophomore, High Honors.
