Laube, Joan P. (27 Feb 1966 – 1 JAN 1974)
Joan Laube was dead on arrival at the hospital after a train/auto collision on
New Year's Day when returning from church at Holy Rosary in Owen (Clark Co.,
Wis.). Also dying in the accident was her 10-year-old sister, Ann.
A combined funeral service for Joan and Ann will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday,
January 3, 1974 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with Father George Becker
officiating. Burial will be made at Riverside Cemetery, Withee.
Visitations will begin at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home at 2 p.m., Friday
January 4th.
Joan Phyllis Laube, age 7, was born February 27, 1966, at St. Joseph's Hospital
in Marshfield, and was a pupil in the 2nd grade at the Holy Rosary School.
There will be a Wake service at 8 p.m. Friday evening at the Funeral home.
She was a member of the Woodgrove 4-H Club.
She is survived by her parents, fur brothers, Dale, Gene, Phil, and Paul, and
three sisters, Sharon, Barbara, and Mary Kay.
The Harold Laube family was a religious close family unit, and this community,
with their many friends that knew them so well, are helpless in expressing their
sorrow in this tragic accident.
