Brindisi, Italy – Captain James V. Barager, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Barager,
Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), has received the U.S. Air Force Commendation Medal at
San Vito Dei Normanni Air Station, Italy.
Captain Barager, a procurement officer, was cited for meritorious service while
assigned at March AFB, California.
He now serves at Brindisi, Italy with a unite of the Air Force Security Service.
A 1965 graduate of Owen-Withee High School, he received his BA degree in
marketing in 1970 from the University of Wisconsin at Madison through the
Reserve Officers Training Corps program. He holds an M.S. degree in Systems
Management from the University of Southern California.
His wife, Kristine, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.F. Van Horne, 1736 C.
Wildberry Lane, Glenview, Illinois.
The couple have two children, a three-year-old son, Bobby, and a seven-month-old
daughter, Jill.
