Chudyk, Donald M. (4 OCT 1954 – 25 JAN 1974)
Donald M. Chudyk, foster son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Chudyk, was accidentally
killed at his place of employment on Friday, January 25, 1974. Donald graduated
from the Owen-Withee High School with the class of 1972, and was in his second
year at El Comino Junior College at Gardena, California, where he resided with a
foster sister and family, Mr. and Mr.s James Molitor (the former Beverly
Chudyk).
David was born at Detroit, Michigan October 4, 1954, where he lived for the
first 12 years of his life. He lost his mother at the age of two. When ill
health left his father unable to care for them, he was place in the Evangelical
Home for children in Detroit.
He then came to live with his great uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Chudyk,
at Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), where he lived until his graduation from high school.
David's accidental death is still under investigation.
Funeral services were held for Donald M. Chudyk on Wednesday, January 30th at
the Miller Funeral Home in Detroit, Michigan, at 9:30 a.m. Burial was made in
the Flatrock Memorial Cemetery at Flatrock, Michigan.
Left to mourn his untimely death are his foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter
Chudyk of route 1, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), his half-sister, Mrs. Christa Vacek
of Valley Spring, Illinois, and his half-sister Elaine Malmstern of Detroit,
Michigan.
Attending the funeral were Mrs. Peter Chudyk and her foster son, Frank Chudyk,
of Adams.
