Baumgart, Fred C. (26 JUL 1906 – 06 FEB 1974)
Services for Fred C. Baumgart, 67, of 406 Fourth Street, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.),
were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in Owen. Mr.
Baumgart died Wednesday night at his home.
The Rev. Lester Kringle, pastor of the Owen Christian and Missionary Alliance
Church, officiated, with burial following in the Lake View Cemetery at Turtle
Lake.
Mr. Baumgart was born July 26, 1906 in the town of Colby (Clark Co.), where eh
operated a farm until 1927. He then came to Owen and worked for the Carnation
Milk Company until 1947, and then worked as a molder operator for the Post
Manufacturing Company here until retiring in 1971.
His marriage on August 23, 1928, at Wausau, was to the former Gladys Quist, who
survives him.
Other survivors include a son, DuWayne Baumgart, Rice Lake; a sister, Miss Helen
Baumgart, Illinois; and two brothers, Ted Baumgart, Unity, and Orvil Baumgart,
Marshfield.
Preceding him in death was a brother.
