George Muehlbauer of route 2, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), was named Chief of
Police for Owen when the city council met on Monday night, March 11, 1974.
Muehlbauer replace Richard Bednarczyk, who resignation became effective on March
15. He had been serving as Chief of Police since January 1.
Muehlbauer, age 42, is a local resident, living on a farm on route 2, Withee. He
served for ten years on the police force in Milwaukee, and for the past two
years has been engaged in farming. The Muehlbauers have a family of four
children, ages 17, 14, 12, and 7.
Chief of Police George Muehlbauer's duties became effective on Friday March, 15.
