Hauschildt, Alfred (1914? – 22 MAR 1974)
Alfred Hauschildt, 59, former Withee Area (Clark Co., Wis.) resident, died of an
apparent heart attack while at work for U.S. Steel at Hoyt Lakes, Minnesota last
Friday, March 22, 1974. He was the son of Mr. and Mr.s Magnus Hauschildt,
formerly of route 2, Withee.
He had been employed by U.S. Steel the past 25 years, fifteen years at the
Gogebic Mine at Ironwood, Michigan, and the last ten years at Hoyt Lakes. At the
time of his death he was an overhead electric crane operator.
Funeral services were held at St. Michael's Catholic Church at Ironwood,
Michigan, at 9 a.m. Monday, March 25, and burial was in the Ironwood Memorial
Cemetery.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Shirley Brandon,
Milwaukee, Mrs. Ray (Sharon) Dudra, Ironwood, Mrs. Sheila Brown, Littleton,
Colorado, and Mrs. Jerry (Sandra) Olson, Columbia Falls, Montana; his mother,
Mrs. Marie Hauschildt, Marshfield, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Nelson, Red Oak, Iowa,
and Mrs. Emery (Esther) Peissig, Curtiss, and eight grandchildren.
