On Sunday, April 7, 1974 eight members of St. John's Lutheran Church, Withee, were confirmed at the morning service by the Rev. Douglas Groenewold. Those confirmed were Daniel Briski and Kathy Olson of the Greenwood Trinity Lutheran Church, LeAnn Bruchert, Diane Churkey, Anthony Lenz, Kevin Mertens, Lori Poppe, and Brian Rohland of St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee.
