Davis, Jean V. (7 DEC 1918 – 26 APR 1974)

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Withee Riverside Cemetery for Jean V. Davis, 55, of Chicago, who died Friday, April 26, 1974 at the Colonial House at Colby.

Officiating was the Rev. Robert H. Sullivan, pastor of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee.

The former Jean V. Ranta was born December 7, 1918 in the Township of Beaver (Clark Co., Wis.), near Loyal, and had worked as a clerk in a grocery store in Chicago for the past 20 years. She attended the Owen schools.

Her marriage in April 1945 at Chicago was to Lawrence Davis.

Survivors include a son, Lawrence, Owen; a sister, Mrs. Ronald (Vine) DeLong, Owen, and a brother, Touno Ranta, Owen.
