Skutak, Adam (2 JUL 1897 – 02 MAY 1974)
Adam Skutak, 76, Route 1, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), died at 7:45 a.m. Thursday
at Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley.
Services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Christian and Missionary
Alliance Church in Curtiss,w ith the Rev. Lester Kringle, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Curtiss.
Serving as pallbearers were Alfred Thompson, Floyd Buchanan, Glen Buchanan, Neil
Green, Aurel Baxter, and Harry Kopps.
Mr. Skutak was born in Poland on July 2, 1897, and was married June 12, 1924 at
Owen to the former Emma Reigel, who survives him. He attended the Thorp Grade
School and lived at Owen until 1929.
He then moved to a farm in the town of Hoard (Clark Co.), where he continued to
reside after his retirement from farming in 1966.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, John, Santa Maria,
California, James, Stockton, California, and William, Mosinee; two daughters,
Mrs. Harvey (Mary Ann) Weideman and Mrs. Daniel (Beverly) Erickson, both of
Curtiss, and 11 grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were a brother and a sister.
