Regner, Arthur H. “Art” (31 August 1923 – 9 February 2019)

Marshfield - Age 95, of Marshfield passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 in the Emergency Department at Marshfield Medical Center.

Arthur was born on August 31, 1923 in Marshfield to Casper and Mary (Neuman) Regner. He attended Evergreen Hill School and graduated from Marshfield Senior High. He faithfully served this country in the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1949. Art was united in marriage to Nancy Kuehn at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church on August 12, 1988.

For 32 years, Art had been employed at Felker Brothers Corp. in Marshfield. For over 14 years Art worked at the Super Wash, a car wash in Marshfield, assisting customers.

He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Marshfield, The John Eisen Council of The Knights of Columbus for over 32 years, including being a Fourth Degree Member and has held many offices before becoming a Grand Knight. He also worked as a bartender for the Knights of Columbus Hall for countless weddings, dinners men's nights and special events.

His hobbies included traveling with Nancy and making wonderful memories to destinations like Florida, Las Vegas and Hawaii, watching football especially the Green Bay Packers and he enjoyed dancing to waltzes and polkas. He will always be remembered as a faithful catholic man who was hardworking, trusting and loyal.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; his sons, Thomas (Mary) Regner of Granton and Richard Regner of Marshfield; his brothers and sister, Kenny (Arlene) Regner of Marshfield, Felix Regner of Milwaukee and Millie Marty of Marshfield; his extended family, Nancy's children, Tom (Melissa) Hubing of Stratford, Lori (Dan) Pekol of Neillsville, and Shelly (Paul) Rodriguez of Parker, CO; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Arthur is preceded in death by his parents, Casper and Mary; his brothers Ed, Norbert and Alfred and his sisters Louise and Annie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Rev. Doug Robertson officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of services. Arthur will be laid to rest in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Marshfield with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 54.

The honor of pallbearers will belong to Joshua Pekol, Jesiah Hubing, Jayme Pekol, Jeremiah Hubing, Tom Hubing and Jason Hubing.

If desired, memorials in Arthur's name are being accepted by the family for a charity to be determined.
