Vanderhoof, Myra (29 May 1896-15 October 1989)
SPENCER--Services for Myra Vanderhoof, 93, formerly of Spencer, who
died Sunday at Rockford Memorial Hospital, Rockford, Illinois, will be
at Rux Funeral Home, Spencer.
The Rev. Kenneth Barnes of United Methodist Church, Spencer, will
officiate. Soloist will be William Allen and the organist will be Bruce
Jensema. Burial will be in West Spencer Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ray Lawrence, Ray Shimek, Ron Manthe, Allen Miller,
Larry Vanderhoof and Dennis Vanderhoof.
She was born May 29, 1896 in Spencer, to late Arthur and Hattie Cole.
She attended Spencer schools.
She was married to Benjamin Vanderhoof September 6, 1916 in Spencer. He
died 14 November 1952.
She and her husband farmed in the Spencer area.
She is survived by nine daughters, Dorothy Lawrence of Marshfield,
Esther Gauthier, Grace Bryda and Viola Walti, all of Rhinelander, Mabel
Roggensack of Rockford, Illinois, Hazel Manthe of Spencer, Blanche
Lawrence of Chicago, Edna Shimed of Brillion, and Genivive (Genevieve)
Miller of Waukegan, Illinois; three sons, Charles, Charles of Colby,
Archie of Arpin and Earl of Franksville; 53 grandchildren; 119
great-grandchildren; 15 step-great-grandchildren and 28
great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
