Vanderhoof, Benjamin Harrison "Ben" (8 March 1887-14 November 1952)

Ben Vanderhoof, 65. Town of Sherman, Clark County, died at home this
morning after a year's illness. Funeral services will be held Monday
afternoon at the Swartout Funeral Home in Spencer. The Rev. Randall
Schalle will officiate and burial will be in the Spencer Cemetery. The
body is at the funeral home.

Mr. Vanderhoof was born March 8, 1887 in the Town of Sherman and was
married there September 6, 1916, to Myra Cole of Spencer. They lived on
the family farm 35 years.

Surviving are the widow: 12 children, Mrs. Earl Laurence (Lawrence),
Mrs. John Bryda and Mrs. Valerius Monthe (Manthe), Spencer, Mrs. Forest
Hebert and Mrs. Harold Walte (Walti), Rhinelander, Mrs. Louis Roggensock
(Roggensack), Rockford, Illinois, Mrs. Blanche Klauer, Marshfield, Mrs.
Milton Shinek (Shimek), Marion, Mrs. Randall Miller, Reedsville, and
Mrs. Charles Curtis and Archie and Earl Vanderhoof, at home; two
brothers, Albert and Jay Vanderhoof, Spencer; two sisters, Mrs. Max Rue,
Spencer, and Mrs. Archie Schmidt, Loyal; 22 grandchildren and a
great-grandchild.
