Staves, Rose Luella Cooper

HUMBIRD, Wis--Mrs. Donald (Rose) Staves, 76, R. 1, Humbird, died
Sunday, December 20, in Black River Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 22, 1905 in Garden Valley, Jackson County, to Mr.
and Mrs. Alvin Cooper. She married Donald Staves on March 15, 1930 in
Winona, Minnesota and the couple farmed in the Humbird area.

Survivors are her husband; two sons, Duane and Claire, both of St,
Paul; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Peterson of Black River Falls and Mrs.
Mabel Finn of Merrillan; eight grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday in the Alma Center Methodist Church. The
Rev. Jerry Eckert will officiate and burial will be in the East Lawn
Cemetery, Alma Center.

Friends may call at the Jensen Funeral Home, Hixton, Tuesday and at
the church on Wednesday.
