Henry Mauel and sons, Peter, Jimmy, John, Mike, and Mark drove to Minneapolis
Wednesday to take in the Brewer-Twins baseball game. The Twins won 10 – 5.
Others attending the same game from here were Mr. and Mrs. Art Feldman, Mr. and
Mrs. Dale Amacher, Mr. and Mrs. Curt Vanderstoop, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Albert, and
Peter McMillan.
Jack Barager went to Minneapolis Tuesday night with a group of boys from Thorp
and took in the Twins-Brewer baseball game.
J.R. Barager drove to Eau Claire Thursday to keep an appointment with his
hearing specialist.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Pugh and family are enjoying a three week vacation trip with
their camper, touring the eastern states.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Tiedeman, formerly of Owen and now of Cable, visited friends in
the city Thursday and stopped at the Owen Enterprise to call on Jim. They were
enroute to Eau Claire.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Riber fished and camped on Long Lake New Auburn over the
weekend, and on Saturday visited at the Barager cottage on Round Lake.
