Friday, August 2, 1974 through the 10th of the month a big stock reduction sale
is being held at the former Style Shop in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), with the
announcement pertaining to the Ad appearing on page five of this issue of the
Owen Enterprise.
Also included in the advertisement is a new signature, "The Showcase."
The name change has come about with the recent sale of the business by Bonnie
Marcott to R.F. Hughes, well known businessman, who successfully owned the
former Hughes Department Store, until selling it a several weeks ago to Dan
Langfeldt.
Mr. Hughes is being assisted in the operation of his business by Mrs. Ed Wendt
and Mrs. Ted Robertson, both of whom have background in sales and buying
experience. He intends to reduce the present line of merchandise, which will be
replaced with new, and will eventually announce plans to build a new building,
giving them adequate room for displaying merchandise.
