Funeral services for Clifford Nutting, resident of the Town of Agenda,
were held on Saturday morning from the NoVitzke Funeral Chapel with the
Rev. Richard Klabunde officiating. Interment was in the Union Cemetery
at Butternut.
Mr. Nutting passed away on Wednesday, September 8, at the Smith
Nursing Home, following a lingering illness. He was 95 years old.
He was born April 3, 1870, at Showheggan, Maine. At the age of one he
moved with his parents to Wisconsin. On December 9, 1903, he was married
to Lottie Demouth at Christie, Wisconsin. The couple came to the Park
Falls area in 1917, where Mr. Nutting was engaged in farming and
woodwork.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Oscar (Irma) Schaper, Butternut,
and Mrs. Emma Holt of Park Falls; 2 sons; Robert, Park Falls, and
Clifford of Menomonee Falls, Wis. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren
and 44 great grandchildren.
