Klessig, Albert (10 AUG 1894 – 27 AUG 1974)
Albert Klessig, 80, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away Tuesday at the
Veterans Home at King, Wisconsin, where final rites will be conducted at 1:30
p.m. Friday, August 30, 1974, in the Main Chapel at the Veterans Home in King.
Burial will be in the Veterans Cemetery at King.
He was born August 10, 1894 at Ranaul, Calumet County, Wisconsin, and came to
Curtiss in December of 1902.
In 1918 he joined the U.S. Army and served overseas in France and Germany. He
was a member of the Van Huizen-Fritz American Legion Post 123 of Owen.
On June 1, 1920 he was married to Mary Kraut at the German Reformed Church in
Curtiss. She preceded him in death June 20, 1934.
He is survived by a brother, William of Owen, and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Mandel
of Marshfield.
He was preceded in death by his wife, three brothers and three sisters.
