Peterson, Swan C. (18 MAR 1898 – 21 AUG 1974)
The Rev. Lester Kringle conducted funeral services at the Missionary Alliance
Church Saturday, August 24, 1974, for Swan C. Peterson, 76, of Owen (Clark Co.,
Wis.), who died Wednesday, August 21, 1974 at Victory Memorial Nursing Home in
Stanley.
Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ellis Van Horn, Joe Hiebsch, Archie Nourse, Axel Lindgren, Glen
Thieme, and Charles Hautamaki.
Mr. Peterson was born March 18, 1895 at Sherrod, Illinois, and was married
September 20, 1927 at Suttons (?) Bay, Michigan to the former Ada Thorson, who
preceded him in death May 12, 1971. After his marriage he farmed in the town of
Green Grove (Clark Co., Wis.), and also served the community as a painter and
paper hanger. In 1961 he retired and moved to the city of Owen.
He is survived by a son, Harley, Stevens Point, a brother, Walter, Stanley; and
two grandsons.
