Cooper, Ethel Irene (17 AUG 1974)
Ethel Irene Cooper, route 1, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), and Roger Raymond
Hubbard, Route 3, Thorp, were married at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 1974 by the
Rev. George Becker in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen.
Miss Karen Pearson provided nuptial music.
A gown of fabric and lace with chapel length train were worn by the bride, along
with a lace and net mantilla. She held a bridal bouquet.
Miss Carol Hubbard, route 1, Withee, was the maid of honor, and Miss Sandy Cook,
route 1, Owen, was bridesmaid. The wore pink taffeta and floral organza frocks,
and white garden hats. Their colonial bouquets were of pink daisies, miniature
white carnations and baby's breath.
Robert Hubbard, route 1, Withee, was best man. Ron Cook, route 1, Owen, was
groomsman, and Royce Hubbard, route 3, Thorp, usher.
The wedding reception followed the nuptial Mass was held in the church
cafeteria, and the dance in the American Legion Hall, Owen, and was held from 8
to 12 o'clock.
The bride is employed as a clerk for ITT of Thorp, and her husband is assistant
herd man for the Clark County Hospital and Farm at Owen. They are living on
route 1, Withee.
