Mahlsted, Ernestine (29 MAY 1871 – 02 NOV 1969)

Funeral services for Mrs. Ernestine Mahlsted, 98, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), were conducted Wednesday, November 5, 1969 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Roger Tellock, pastor, officiated at the 2 p.m. services. Burial was made in the New Holstein Cemetery.

Mrs. Mahlsted died Sunday at the Neillsville Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 29, 1871 at New Holstein, Wisconsin. On November 8, 1900, she married John Mahlsted there. After their marriage, the couple moved to the Curtiss area, where they farmed until 1934. At that time they moved to Withee (Clark Co.). When Mr. Mahlsted died in 1949, Mrs. Mahlsted made her home with her daughter, Mrs. William Anderson, in Curtiss.

Survivors include two daughter, Mrs. William Anderson of Curtiss, Mrs. Wayne Russell of Hot Springs, Montana, 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, and sister, and two brothers.
