Miss Sharon Lee Bender, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Leake Bender of Baton
Rouge, Louisian, was married to David Allen Koch, son of Dr. and Mr.s Wm. Koch
of Colby (Clark Co., Wis.), on Friday, November 7, 1969, at the Unity Church of
Christ, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The bride, wearing a white crepe dress with silver lace bodice was given in
marriage by her father. Her silk illusion veil fell from a headpiece of silk
bows and see pearls, and she carried a bouquet of white orchids. Dr. John L.
Braughman officiated at the 6 p.m. evening service.
The couple was attended by Miss Patricia Koch, sister of the groom, and Norman
Kamps of Fort Lauderdale.
The maid of honor wore a corsage of yellow carnations and was seen in a soft
orange dress with white lace trim. She wore a matching bow piece.
The bride attended Southeastern Louisiana College and holds a B.S. degree in
Elementary Education. The bridegroom attended Wisconsin State University,
Stevens Point, and is now attending a flight school at Hollywood International
Airport, Fort Lauderdale, working toward a commercial pilot's license. He is
also employed in the operations office of Sunny South Flight Service.
The wedding reception was held at the Vordemeier Apartments immediately
following the service.
The newlyweds left on a wedding trip to the Ramada Ranch, Fort Meyer, Florida,
and are now at home at 417 N.E. 17th Ave., Apt. 4, Fort Lauderdale.
