Barton, Louis (25 August 1886-5 November 1952)

Neillsville--Funeral services for Louis Barton, 66, Baraboo, a former
Neillsville resident who died of a heart attack in his home Wednesday
morning, will be held Saturday in St Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev.
Peter Zic will officiate and burial will be made in the parish cemetery.
The body is reposing at the Bergemann Funeral Home.

Mr. Barton, a resident of Clark County for 52 years, was born August
25, 1886, in the Town of Grant. His marriage to the former Annabelle
Farning took place here June 13, 1907.

After their marriage, the farmed north of Neillsville for several
years. In 1938 they moved to Tomah where they operated a hotel for two
years. Because of Mrs. Barton's health, they returned to Neillsville in
1940, the year of her death.

In 1941 Mr. Barton moved to Baraboo, where he had been employed since
that time.

His survivors include two sons, Leo, Chicago, and Louis, West Allis;
two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Leona) Davis, Neillsville, and Miss Marion
Barton, Chicago; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Albert and Arthur,
Neillsville; two sisters, Mrs. R. H. Welsh and Mrs. Rose Schiller,
Neillsville.
