Bennett, Mr./Mrs. Merton (Silver – 13? Dec 1969)

Friends and relatives gathered at Unity Memorial Hall Saturday night, December 13, 1969 to help Mr. and Mrs. Merton Bennett celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. The table was decorated with an anniversary cake, a money tree from Mr. Bennett's mother, sisters and brother, and a floral centerpiece, a gift from friends.

Four of the six original attendants were present. They were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Fischer of Unity, Edwin Dorfschmidt, Edgar, and Mrs. George Sudter of Athens.

Mr. and Mrs. Bennett spent their entire married life on a farm east of Unity, where they now live. They are parents of two children, Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Hendrix of Fond du Lac, and Wayne, at home. They have two grandsons.

Gifts were received by the couple from people attending from Athens, Edgar, Wausau, Marshfield, Colby, Nekoosa, Spencer and the Unity area.
