Buell, Bessie (9 SEP 1894 – 11 DEC 1969)
Mrs. Bessie Buell, 75, Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.), died Thursday, December 11,
1969 at Norwood Hospital, Marshfield, where she was taken in November from the
Marshfield Convalescent Center.
Funeral services were held at the Polnaszek Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at 2
o'clock,w ith the Rev. Virgil Taylor of Marshfield officiating. Mrs. Eugene
Strathman was the organist. Interment was made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.
The pallbearers were John Busse, George Kadonsky, Albert Kayhart, Fred
Leonhardt, Lester Lueddecke, and Ed Voss.
Mrs. Buell, the former Bessie Mead, was born sept; 9, 1894, in the town of
Caledonia, Trempeleau County. After her marriage to Loys Buell in Neillsville
October 25, 1913, they lived in La Crosse. In 1921 they moved to a farm in the
town of Holton (Marathon Co., Wis.) and retired to Abbotsford in 1952.
Mr. Buell died in 1957.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Florence) Schroeder,
Dorchester, Mrs. Vernon (Ethel) Nelson, Marshfield, and Mrs. Charles (Alice)
Sievert, Stratford. There are four grandsons and one granddaughter, 13
great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Florence Nelson of Marshfield, also
surviving.
