Roewe, Norma F. (7 DEC 1898 – 11 DEC 1969)
Funeral services were held Monday at the First Presbyterian Church, Abbotsford,
for Mrs. Charles Roewe, 71, of rural Colby.
She died Thursday, December 11, 1969 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
The Rev. Boyd Jordon of Stevens Point officiated at the services. Interment was
made in Colby Memorial Cemetery.
The Lulloff Funeral Home of Colby was in charge of the arrangements.
The former Norma Flora Miller was born in Manitowoc County December 7, 1898. Her
marriage to Charles Roewe, who survives her, took place at Marinette, Wisconsin
on May 11, 1918.
After their marriage the couple lived at Wausau and spent their winters cooking
in various logging camps in Wisconsin. After 10 years, they moved to a farm in
the town of Colby (Clark Co., Wis.), in the spring of 1928. They have lived
there since that time.
She was member of the Presbyterian Church at Abbotsford,a dn the church women's
group.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Vilas, at Colby. Also surviving
are a brother, Amos Miller of Plymouth, and a sister, Mrs. John (Flora)
Streckert of Crandon.
