Brechlin, Emma (8 APR 1895 – 26 DEC 1969)

Funeral services for Mrs. Gustav Brechlin, 74, of Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.), were conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, at Polnaszek Funeral Home at Abbotsford. Murray Keene conducted the service. Lawrence Lismore sang "Our Hope and Confidence Today" and Mrs. Brechlin's only three grandchildren sang "Live's Short day." Mrs. Harold Brockhaus of Colby was the organist and accompanist. Burial was made in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Alan Stockwell, Randy Stockwell, Dennis Marcott, Paul Brockhaus, Harvey Topinka and Louis Topinka.

Mrs. Brechlin died Friday morning, December 26, 1969 at her home of a lingering illness.

She was born Emma Paul on April 8, 1895 in Little Black (Taylor Co., Wis.), and married Gustav Brechlin at Dorchester on September 11, 1912. The couple farmed at Little Black, later moving to Medford. They moved to Abbotsford in 1951.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Miss Gladys Brechlin, at home; a son, Russell Brechlin of Evanston, Illinois; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edgar Paul of Medford, Henry Paul of Dorchester; three sisters, Mrs. George (Hattie) Empey of Abbotsford, Mrs. Ed (Ellie) Brechlin of Dorchester, and Mrs. Walter (Louise) Brunner, Dorchester.

Four brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
