Jean Bungert was the recipient of the D.A.R. award at the Abbotsford High School this past wweek. She is the daughter of Mr. Gertrude Bungert, and the late Harry Bungert of route 2, Athens.

Qualifications for the award, sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution, with selection made by the Abbotsford faculty, include dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism.
