Carol Jean Neitzel, Milwaukee, became the bride of Glenn Edward Giza, Milwaukee,
Saturday, January 3, 1970. Parents of the bride and groom are Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Neitzel of Colby (Clark Co., Wis.), Mr. and Mrs. Robert Giza of Milwaukee.
The 4:30 p.m. ceremony took place at the United Methodist Church at Colby. The
Rev. R. James Hagen performed the ceremony.
Music was provided by Linda Goeltz, who played the organ, and Mrs. Lowell
Peickert, who sang "Climb Every Mountain."
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a white full-length peau de
soie gown with a bouffant veil of silk illusion. The empire waist had a lace
insert from bodice to floor and around the bottom of the dress. She carried
football green tinted mums.
Matron of honor for the bride was Mrs. Gloria Vollbrecht, Milwaukee, and
bridesmaid was Mrs. Jacqueline Peickert, Minneapolis, a sister of the bride.
The attendants wore green pea de soie, floor length dresses with empire waists.
They each carried a large football green tinted mums with a long stem.
Misses Merrie Neitzel, sister of the bride, and Joy Peickert, niece of the
bride, were flower girls.
The groom's attendants were Dennis Giza, Milwaukee, best man, a brother of the
groom, and Emery Neitzel of Colby, a brother of the bride, who was the
groomsman.
Louis Giza, a brother of the groom, and Bill Neitzel Jr., brother of the bride,
served as ushers.
Following the ceremony, dinner was served at the United Methodist church hall. A
reception and dance took place at the Unity Memorial Hall (Clark Co.).
The bride is a 1966 graduate of the Colby High School. She has been employed at
Penney's in Milwaukee.
The groom, a graduate of Milwaukee Lutheran High School in 1966, is a deputy
sheriff for Milwaukee County.
The couple will be making their home in Milwaukee.
