Meyer, James W. Sr. (7 JAN 1936 - 1 MAR 2019)
James W. Meyer Sr., 83, of Ladysmith, Wis., died on March 1, 2019, surrounded by
loving family at his “snowbird” home in Florence, Ariz. Jim always announced on
March 1 every year that it was time to go home to Wisconsin.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters Sherry (Larry) Galetka and Darla
(Mike) Dernovsek; sons James W. (Connie) Meyer Jr. and Christopher (Stacy)
Meyer; 10 grandchildren — Sarah (Mar) Morgan, Erin (Gessner) Rivas, Joel
Dernovsek, Nathan (Kaylee) Dernovsek, Joshua (Jasmine) Stansbury, Brittany (Jay)
Howard, Breanne Meyer, Chase Meyer, Cole (Anna Burlingame) Meyer and Chandler
Meyer; and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Shirley
Williams and Marian (Bud) Mallo.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 9 at the
Congregational UCC Church in Ladysmith with Rev. David Bowles officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Sheldon.
Friends may call after 4:00 PM on Friday, March 8 at the Congregational UCC
Church and again on Saturday for an hour prior to service time at the Church.
