Prosise, Gary Douglas (1935? - 13 FEB 2019)
Gary Douglas Prosise went home to Heaven on Feb. 13, 2019, after suffering with
Alzheimers his last years.
Gary was born in Nebraska in 1935 and soon moved with his parents to the
Northwest. He went to Alberta, Canada (Prairie Bible Institute) for high school
and college. While there he dedicated his life to missionary service in Brazil.
He met his future wife, Nancy Bollman, from Wisconsin, who had similar plans.
After seven years of studies, serving in churches, being ordained as a pastor
and having three children, they were on their way to northeast Brazil with
Conservative Baptist Foreign Mission Society. For the next 35 years they started
and constructed churches and homes for pastors in unchurched areas, worked with
youth camps, taught in the seminary and traveled extensively as an evangelist.
Gary and Nancy have enjoyed their retirement living in Fountain of the Sun,
Mesa, Arizona, for the last 18 years. Gary enjoyed playing on the horseshoe team
for a number of years and was considered one of the top players.
He is survived by his wife, two sisters, five children, six grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in Wisconsin on Aug. 10 at Northland Bible
Church.
