With February and March remaining, the “winter of the big snow” has seen an
accumulation of 52.6 inches, according to Frank Krueger, Medford, official
recorder of weather for the US weather bureau.
Measurements include 7.7 inches in November when there were 15 days of snowfall
of which five were measurable; 23.7 inches in December with 16 days of
measurable snowfall, and January’s cover of 21.2 inches where there were 13 days
of measurable snowfall.
