It was a longtime coming, more than seven years, in fact, but the US Postal
Service announced this week that they are finally going ahead with plans for a
new post office in Medford.
In a letter to Mayor Dee Meyer, Dennis L. Nott, the USPS Milwaukee district
manager for customer services, said: “The Postal Service is going ahead with
plans t make a new Medford post office a reality. We’re looking at a new leased
facility that will help us better meet community needs. We hope to almost double
the size of the current post office. This increased space will allow us to more
efficiently process Medford’s mail.”
