New EPA Regulations regarding seepage from holding and septic tanks will soon
have a major financial impact on Taylor County residents living in areas not
served by a municipal treatment plant.
According to area septic haulers, the new EPA directives will result in
significant changes in the septic from holding and septic tanks is treated and
disposed of, which will result in more than doubling the cost per load to their
customers. The new regulations go into effect nationwide this month.
