New EPA Regulations regarding seepage from holding and septic tanks will soon have a major financial impact on Taylor County residents living in areas not served by a municipal treatment plant.

According to area septic haulers, the new EPA directives will result in significant changes in the septic from holding and septic tanks is treated and disposed of, which will result in more than doubling the cost per load to their customers. The new regulations go into effect nationwide this month.
