Gallick, Peter L. (21 JAN 1920 - 17 FEB 2019)

Peter L. Gallick, 99, formerly of Gilman, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the Cornell Care Center.

He was born on January 21, 1920 at his family home near Gilman to the late Anton and Mary (Czap) Gallick. He grew up in the area and married Mary Mesiar on September 28, 1944 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He then entered the Army and served in the Allusion Islands. After his time in the service he returned to the Town of Aurora and he and Mary farmed for about 30 years.

He leaves behind his wife of 74 years, Mary of Gilman, six children, Dianne (Chuck) Wachsmuth and Joe (Marlene) Gallick both of Holcombe, Carol Gallick and Peggy (Ray) Pancyrz both of Fall Creek, Jerry Gallick of Gilman and Bonnie (Lonnie) Konsella of Sun Prairie, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Peter is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Walter, Stanley, John and Joe Gallick and 4 sisters, Pauline Sizemore, Kate Pawlak, Julia Victory and Ann Budney.


A funeral mass will be held at 11AM on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church-Gilman. Interment will follow with military rites in Meadowbrook Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10AM until time of service Friday morning at the church. Plombon Funeral Service-Gilman assisted the family with arrangements.

Peter’s family wishes to thank the staff of St. Joseph’s Hospice, the VA and Cornell Health Care Services.
