Newman, Gladys E. (Whitting) (21 JAN 1920 - 18 FEB 2019)
Gladys E. Newman, 91 of Rib Lake Health Services, Rib Lake, a former Medford
resident, passed away on Monday, February 18 at Rib Lake Health Services, Rib
Lake where she had resided for the past 13 years.
Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 22 at Hemer
Funeral Home, Medford, with Pastor David Clements officiating. Interment will be
at Riverside Cemetery, Withee, WI.
Pallbearers are Pete Strey, Paul & Brandon Newman, John White, John & Ethan
Aldinger.
Visitation will be at the Hemer Funeral Home, Medford, from 10 AM until the time
of services at 11 AM on Friday, February 22.
Gladys was born on December 10, 1927 at Oconto, WI, to Herbert and Mary (Zens)
Whitting. She attended Oconto, WI area schools.
In 1969 at Withee, Gladys was married to Howard Newman. He preceded her in death
October 8, 1983.
She worked in the kitchen at Havanet Nursing Home in Owen for a period of time.
She enjoyed playing bingo at the nursing home.
Gladys is survived by Step-Children: Marvin (Barb) Newman of Withee; Al (Eileen)
Newman of Haven Park, FL; Ed (Marilee) Newman of Redding, PA; Dick (Carol)
Newman of Marshfield; Roger (Marilyn) Newman of Gilman; Bev (Eddie) White of
Thorp; Linda (Pete) Strey of Spencer; Patty White of Marshfield; grandchildren
Numerous Step-Grandchildren and Numerous Step-Great Grandchildren; siblings
Sisters: Leona Yost of Lena, WI & Ethel Dewindt of Green Bay.
She is predeceased by her parents, Step-Son: Ray Newman, and 1 Brother.
