Miss Nancy Reynolds of Dorchester was a dinner and sup guest Sunday at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Art Leichtnam. Bill Leichtnam, who was home on semester break
from Wisconsin State University, Eau Claire, returned there Sunday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kalepp Sr. visited the Eddie Raatz family at Marshfield on
Monday. Mrs. Raatz is their niece.
Mr. and Mrs. Royal Archambo and daughter, Mrs. Jack Reichersamer, went to
Milwaukee Saturday to attend the commencement at the Milwaukee extension of the
University of Wisconsin. Mrs. Gene Kawczynski, the former Madge Hess, received
her degree in Elementary Education and will be teaching in the Milwaukee school
system. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Nikolay and Mr. and Mrs. Mel Nikolay went there on
Sunday. Mrs. Anna Nikolay, who was at the Tom Talaska home since New Year's,
returned with them on Monday. Enroute home on Monday, Mr. and Mr.s Archambo took
Mrs. Estelle Hess to Adell, as Mrs. Margaret Hess died Friday. The funeral was
set for Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. James Steffen, Kristine, Laurie, Jamie and Mary Kay of Brookfield
came Thursday night and stayed until Sunday afternoon, with Mr. and Mrs. Vern
Steffen and Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Schaefer. Mr. and Mrs. James Steffen accompanied
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Amacher to Tomahawk for a weekend of snowmobiling. The James
Steffen family had recently returned from a 10 day vacation to Granada Hills,
California, where they were with the Bill Steffen family.
