Meier, Tyler Joseph (3 July 1972 – 2 March 2019) With Flag
Tyler Joseph Meier was abruptly killed Saturday, March 2, 2019 near Augusta.
Tyler was a father and Grandfather and loved his family immensely. Tyler lead
his life by embracing wholeheartedly GODS beautiful creations of woods, rivers,
lakes and all the majesty of the LORDS amazing order and complexities. This is
where he felt most at home. He began to fish at three years of age and became an
exemplary fisherman. Loving the sport with much passion, he also was a skilled
taxidermist displaying many Northern and Muskellunge in exacting detail. He
always said: “There are angels in the woods because they do not desire to dwell
in manmade surroundings.” We believe this was a truly inspired revelation. Tyler
owned seven different Holy Bibles from various denominations in which he wrote
prolific thoughts, prayers and glued inspirational art. He dealt with some
extremely difficult personal burdens in his life which brought him to GOD for
reparation, glory and the eternal hope. Tyler was a loving human being at heart
with an infectious sense of humor.
He was born July 3, 1972 in Opelousas, LA, the first several years living
amongst the exuberant Cajuns. Always enjoying the wonderful Cajun food, he
developed a great flair for preparing such excellent and authentic meals.
Ultimately he grew up in Neillsville and graduated here as well. He went forward
to pursue a career in the United States Marine Corps. Unfortunately, to his
disappointment, he developed foot metatarsal fractures and was given a medical
honorable discharge. He went on to various other employments: offshore oil
drilling, contract construction, cabinet making and developed a professional
hardwood flooring business currently in Alma, overlooking the beautiful view of
the Mississippi River.
Tyler was married to Claudia Nicole Beard in Louisiana and had two great sons.
Tyler is survived by his mother, Mary Jo Meier, his former wife, son, Travis
John Meier, son, Tristen Matthew Meier, step-daughter, Jazmine Angelle Marino
and granddaughter, Aiyanna Meier, also his two brothers, Seth Ayers Meier and
Samuel Joel Meier.
Tyler’s intelligence and verve for life is so very grievously missed by his
mother and family and those who knew his unique blend of character. God had so
much more for him to accomplish and experience! Because of the way Tyler left
this earth we sincerely & lovingly believe he was taken into the all-abiding
healing arms of his Merciful Savior – JESUS CHRIST! Go softly, perfectly my son,
I Love You! Our Dad, we love you! Our grandpa, we love you! Into eternal kingdom
of the LORD GOD Most High where we trust & hope of rejoining again in
completeness and glorious, perpetual joy, Tyler Joe we love you so much, await
us our Dear One!
