Brown, Amanda (20 JAN 1898 – 8 FEB 1970)
Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph Brown, 72, a former resident of the town of
Mayville (Clark Co., Wis.), were held on Wednesday, February 11 at St. Paul's
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cudahy. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery,
Milwaukee.
Mrs. Brown died Sunday, February 8, 1970 at Trinity Memorial Hospital, Cudahy.
She had been in ill health the past two years.
Amanda Baehr was born January 20, 1898 in the town of Mayville, where she
received her education. She was employed at Milwaukee for several years before
her marriage to Joseph Brown, which took place at Dorchester (Clark Co.) in June
1930. She had resided at Cudahy since their marriage.
Surviving are her husband, two brothers, William of Manhattan, Kansas, and
Arthur, town of Mayville, and three sisters, Mrs. George (Frieda) Phelps of
Marinette and the Misses Clara and Leona Baehr of Milwaukee. Three brothers
preceded her in death.
Arthur Baehr from here attended the services for his sister.
