Merrillan/Memorial Service (Veteran’s – 30 May 1975)
Memorial Day exercises will be held in Oakwood Cemetery at Merrillan on Monday
morning, May 26.
Units will form at the Elementary School at 9:00 a.m. and march to the cemetery.
Enroute, a floral wreath will be dropped into Hall’s Creek, in memory of service
men lost at sea.
Participating in the ceremonies will be the local legion, Auxiliary, VFW, Gold
Star mothers, youth groups and the Lincoln High School band.
In case of inclement weather, the services will be held at the Municipal Hall.
