Kropelin, Edwin M. (8 JUN 1893 – 10 MAR 1970)
Edwin Kropelin, 76, died late Tuesday afternoon at his home in Abbotsford (Clark
Co., Wis.), at Green Vista. He had been ill for the past several years.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby at 1:30
p.m. Friday, March 13, 1970. The Rev. Kenneth Dix will officiate, and burial
will be made in Colby Memorial Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home, beginning Thursday noon.
Edwin Martin Kropelin was born at Hilbert, Wisconsin on June 8, 1893. His family
moved to the town of Hull (Marathon Co., Wis.) when he was 10 eyars of age.
On December 14, 1918 he was married to the former Adelaide Rodenberg, who
survives him. After their marriage they farmed in the town of Frankfort until
their retirement about 10 years ago. They lived in Abbotsford since December
1969.
He served as a supervisor for the town of Frankfort for 14 years.
Surviving, besides his wife, are two sons, George of Milwaukee, and Elmer living
in Minneapolis. There are nine grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother, Arno Kropelin of Colby, and three sisters, Mrs.
Harvey (Anna) Barts, Herman (Meta) Podevels of Colby, and Mrs. Armin (Emma)
Barts of Abbotsford.
